Class Reschedule Policy

GAFASTA asks that we have at least 48hrs notice on class reschedules. GAFASTA will do our best to work within your schedule!

Class Cancellation Policy

GAFASTA requires a 72 hour notice in order to cancel your class. There is a $30.00 cancellation fee and the balance will be refunded.

About Our Courses:

Team GAFASTA is the leader in armed security guards and armed Private Investigator firearms training. We go above and beyond Georgia State requirements in firearms training and qualifications. Students will learn tactical shooting techniques including but not limited to: Shooting and moving, use of cover, malfunction and stoppage drills, tactical and combat reloading, room clearing, close quarters combat, failure drills, multiple threats, transverse shooting and drawing drills. We believe this training will prepare you for the unknow out on the streets.

Our instructors are U.S. Military, Law Enforcement (P.O.S.T Certified Firearms Instructors), NRA and Georgia Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies Certified Firearms Instructors.

Equipment needed: Pistol, holster (No shoulder holsters) 2 magazines, 5 snap caps, 150 rounds of ammunition, lunch and beverages.

TO BECOME AN ARMED GUARD YOU MUST HAVE TAKEN THE “24” UNARMED SECURITY GUARD TRAINING FIRST! OR HAVE A COPY OF YOUR UNARMED CERTIFICATE FOR YOUR TRAINING RECORDS.

TO BECOME AN ARMED GUARD YOU NEED TO TAKE:

• 24 Hours of Security Training (UNARMED)per code 509-03-.02
• 15 Hours of Security Training (ARMED) per code 509-03-.03
• BOTH COURSES SHOULD BE TAKEN BY A STATE CERTIFIED LICENSED INSTRUCTOR!

What the Student Does First:

Sign up via the website under the Security Training Category “40 hour unarmed and armed” security course. “Or” if you have already Georgia certified “unarmed security” certified SIGN UP HERE to take just the “15” hour “armed security” course.

Please bring a photocopy of your drivers license and or Georgia Weapon Carry License to class.

What GAFASTA will do for you:

Provide you with a certificate of completion for each of the courses taken. (Unarmed and Armed, Pistol and or Shotgun)

Upon successful completion of the courses GAFASTA will fill provide you with paperwork to assist you in getting your fingerprints and background check.

What the student does next:

The document will need to be provided to your employer along with background check, notary, and state certifications… example (GAFASTA course completion certificates). Your employer (a licensed Georgia Security Agency) is responsible for ensuring the application is complete and correctly prepared and will send your application to the Secretary of State for review.

BACKGROUND INFO:

Student must get a background check from their local Law Enforcement Agency.

Prior to applying for a State Blue Card students must:

Ensure to make copies of State Certificates and mail with application.

Get paperwork Notarized

Make two copies of all applicable paperwork and application

Your employer is responsible to mail application with State Fees to the Georgia Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies.

Once the state approves your paperwork they will email you to get your finger prints done.
